Conscious Communications

Here comes my first book recommendation for you. I’ll try not to make them too long and to summarize the content of the books briefly and succinctly, so you can determine right away, whether the book interests you or not. Let’s start with Conscious Communications by Mary Shores.

The book is a step-by-step guide to a better, more positive and stronger life. Author Mary Shores teaches us how to use the power of words to change your thoughts, your choice and therefore your life and how to change our lives so that they are in line with our dreams and desires, because that is the key. It’s about your focus, what you believe in and then putting that into action. With small tasks and reflection aids, she manages to keep in mind what we want to achieve in life, how we analyse and take apart these wishes in order to turn them into reality step by step.

You just have to start, because every small step is a step in the right direction and by making a new decision you open up endless new possibilities in life. She always stresses the importance of focusing on the positive because your thoughts are in tune with your nervous system and if your thoughts are full of negative words, it affects how you feel. Gratitude is also an important part of this. The book gives ideas on how to act when you feel you can’t help but react negatively and teaches us how to focus on the now. After all, most of the time we’re the ones making our own lives difficult and that’s where the so-called „Cleanse-Or-Clog“ comes in. For every activity you do, think about whether it helps you, cleanses you so to speak, or leaves you feeling bad, clogged up, so then try to approach things in a way that they are cleansing and not clogging, like getting enough sleep instead of lounging around in front of the TV late at night.

Bottom line: you are what you think and these words define you and you can work on that so you can become who you really are!
